No, the GMAT and GMAT Focus Edition are not the same. GMAT Focus was introduced on November 7, 2023, and, as of 2025, has replaced the original GMAT. The GMAT Focus Edition has a shorter overall test time, a reduced number of sections, and a different scoring scale. It is now the only version of the exam available. 

A strong score on the GMAT is typically in the 665–705 range, placing you roughly in the 90th to 98th percentile. Specifically, a 705 score is around the 98th percentile, while a 645 score equates to the traditional 700 and corresponds to the 88th percentile.
